Halloween is potentially my favourite day of the year, maybe behind my birthday, as it is the only day of the year that you can dress up like a cat and people won't think you've gone mental.
Well, I say its the only day...personally I reckon that dressing up like a cat, a pirate or a block of lego should be indulged in every day but its not good practice when trying to make friends or get a job.
Also, it gives me an opportunity to play with hair and make-up as I was hired by Matt (the old General Manager of Walkabout Glasgow) to do the make-up of all the staff. I ended up spending 6 hours solidly doing make-up; I made people into robots, Jigsaw, lots and lots of zombies, cats, burn victims, an old man and lots of other things. I was absolutely knackered but got paid well and got free drinks and champagne.
Thats another reason I like Halloween, the excuse to go out and get hammered, although to be fair anything can be an excuse to get hammered!
The thing that really annoys me about halloween, apart from the fake blood staining my skin, is the fact that it is an excuse for every girl to dress like a hussey. Come on ladies?! Whats Halloween for if not for putting clothes ON! Dress like a zombie, a cow...hell dress in a binbag and do the tango I don't care, just STOP with the 'little Bo Peep' nonsense or playboy bunny....give me Desperate Dan anyway!
Anyway, if you want to see the beautiful staff at Walkabout without their fancy dress on, why not join me for a drink. We can dress like cats!
