GRAEME ARMSTRONG

I was born and raised in Scotland and I am very proud of my Scottish heritage. I even have a deep tone voice with a Scottish accent and a hint of a lisp. I couldn't be more proud. I am happy to consider myself Scottish or British.

In terms of Scotland representation in film & television, I do not know what I really think. I guess I am just proud that Scotland is used as a focal point of certain films & television programmes. It is clear that Scottish 'stereotypes' are often heghtened within film & television and quite often historical storylines (looking at you 'BRAVEHEART'!!!!!!!!!) are incredibly inaccurate. I know some say its just entertainment, but I feel that if you are dealing with famous history, then it should be adhered to, fact by fact.

In terms of other (fictional) representations of Scotland ('BRIGADOON!'), I am not too bothered. I am proud of it all. Tartan, haggis, scotch whiskey, highland dancing, heather, bagpipes etc. You name it, I love it lol, especially Scotlands most prized attraction, our beloved NESSIE, be she fact or fiction. Even NESSIE was portrayed in Hollywood.
